With the spooky season here, many families are getting into the Halloween spirit by decorating their homes, buying candy in bulk, and getting ready to trick or treat.
Instacart has revealed a list of the top US destinations that are “Halloweeniest” in its “America’s Haunts” report.
The food delivery and pickup service company created the “scare scores” by analyzing the dates of Halloween-related purchases such as candy, decorations and costumes from last October.
Through the results, Instacart was able to determine the amount of candy per person sold, Halloween decor and costumes along with items sold per person.
Instacart also identified local favorites by calculating “which candies sold the highest weight above the national average.”
Below, see the top five “most Halloween” states and ZIP codes for trick-or-treating, according to Instacart.
